see you space cowboy…

I feel like FFXIV has spoiled me. Advancing the main story is always an explicit action in FFXIV. You never get into a situation like you do in single player RPGs where you have to guess which path is the intended one and which is a side path you should explore while you still have a chance. Sure it takes some of the mystery out of the whole experience, but it’s so much less stressful overall that it’s well worth the tradeoff.
The FFXIV job actions trailer is so funny to me because it’s like. I get that for a lot of people this is a big deal that impacts their enjoyment of their job, their job fantasy, etc. But for me? I don’t play with full effects on for anyone, not even myself. Instant sensory overload. I have no idea what attacks look like.
Shadowbringers is the story of the epic showdown between the two sleepiest guys in all of Final Fantasy XIV, and the Warrior of Light caught in the middle of them.
There are two types of decorative objects in Final Fantasy 7 Remake:
A curling team (or rink) consists of four players. By default the game starts you off with a warrior, a thief, a white mage, and a black mage, but you can make any party composition you want. Try playing around with it! and remember — contrary to popular opinion, the skip can be any starting class. Hurry hard!
Who called it The Baldesion Arsenal and not Eureka’s Castle?
The natural and intended comparison for FFXVI is Game of Thrones, but since I’ve never seen it nor read any GRRM books, to me, FFXVI is a slightly strange Dune adaptation.
Me: I know I enjoy introducing a bunch of characters and then giving them all symbolic names but I worry I do it too much in my writing. Surely this will alienate the non-Homestucks in the audience.
Square Enix: Here are three different UIs for looking up our cast of dozens, and by the way we're naming the Phoenix character Joshua.
Target: hey we’re having a sale on final fantasy art books
Past me: oh hell yeah I love final fantasy
Target: here is your incredibly heavy box
Present me, trying not to trip over my doorstep: why would you do this to me
